My life matches this description, you'll see why.

Vagabond
  1. anything that resembles a vagabond in having no fixed place; "pirate ships were vagabonds of the sea" (while I can definitely relate to a pirate- the "having no fixed place" is the best description. I've lived 6 places in the last 6 years)
  2. move about aimlessly or without any destination, often in search of food or employment; "The gypsies roamed the woods"; "roving vagabonds"; "The cattle roam across the prairie"; "the laborers drift from one town to the next"; (gypsies- I like that. Our destinations have been for employment.)
  3. One who wanders from place to place, having no fixed dwelling, or not abiding in it, and usually without the means of honest livelihood; a vagrant; a tramp; hence, a worthless person; a rascal. (we've certainly wandered and currently do not have a fixed dwelling- which I'll fill you in later. Worthless person- maybe not)
  4. To play the vagabond; to wander like a vagabond; to stroll

2006 right before senior year my family moved to Columbus, Ohio for my dad's job (which has since changed). This year I'd meet my highschool sweetheart, love of my life, and father of my child(ren).

2007 We graduated high school, trucked through college & spent most nights together doing who knows what.

2008 Zak joined the Army and went through basic training. I stayed behind and squibbled with roomates, Ohio State and 2-3 jobs while feverishly checking my mailbox for new letters

2009 Zak got orders for Ft. Benning GA and we decided to throw caution to the wind and get married. We moved to Phenix City AL and enjoyed our newlywed year in an adorable apartment with army buddies in and out, swims in the pool, and a new dog. Zak deploys for a year to Iraq in fall.... I find out I'm pregnant 2 weeks later.

2010 6 months pregnant I move us into a house in Columbus, GA. We welcome the arrival of the most beautiful, intelligent & inspiring being that has ever graced the Earth- our daughter Amory. 7/7/10. When the tour is over daddy gets to come home 3 months after she is born. We spend the rest of the year reveling in her splendor and getting used to living together again.

2011 We spend the entire year loving life in GA (or at least I do, Zak isn't thrilled with daily Army).

2012 We come full circle and move back in with my parents while Zak transitions out of the Army. We are looking for our very first house to own & will hopefully settle in one place for a while.

Welcome to my crazy, amazing life.
