I've been a terrible blogger- I know, I know. A lot has happened since I last posted and I will start blogging more to make up some lost time, oh and lots of photos included, too!
Zak and I went to VEGAS at the end of March. Zak was one of the groomsmen in the wedding of a friend he served with- we prepared for months and finally the time came for our much needed vacation. Zak & I hadn't gone on a vacation just the two of us since 2008- and that was a trip home to Idaho to visit MY friends and not much else. We needed some relaxing, some fun and mostly just some time together.

I was a little nervous since I had never left Amory for more than a few hours with anyone- but Zak's Aunt Traci was more than up for the job- and I was happy. Traci planned out so many fun things for them to do and I knew that Amory would be surrounded by love and family the whole time (and I was right). Unfortunately our trip also fell over Easter weekend so we missed Amory's 3rd Easter, but Traci took her all over the place and made 6 DOZEN eggs, etc-
she actually did a lot more for Amory than I would've done.

Moving on to the actual trip- we went to Vegas for the first time... and it was
crazy! I've heard Vegas called "Disney World for adults" and boy, were they right! We spent most of the trip catching up with friends, drinking, and staying up all hours... oh, and did I mention that we stayed in a CASTLE? Most of the wedding party stayed at the Luxor next door, but I was really glad we chose this one instead- we had a nice room and it was just COOL. We did a bit of gambling (our first time), but probably walked away even- Zak is much luckier than I am.

Zak and I saw a magic show by David Copperfield with my
amazing family- the magic show was way more cool than I was expecting, too! We also toured the Hoover Dam, took a helicopter ride, and checked out Fremont street with them- it was a busy day, but definitely one of our most exciting days there!

More than anything I was relieved for some SUN- we had been in drizzly, cold, blowy, snowy Ohio weather for far too long and it was really dragging me down. I miss the sun, I miss Georgia and I missed my friends- I got a fix of two of these things on the trip and it helped my spirits immensely.

| Speaking of spirits- these slushies we had every day helped! :) |
Zak and I certainly need more "couple" vacations- not that I don't love my daughter, but you can just enjoy
yourself more when you aren't caring for a little one. Hopefully we can save up enough to do a trip with all three of us this summer- even if it is something little like Cedar Point.
A few more pictures for your viewing pleasure- in absolutely no order.
