Vegetable Vagabond

Oh boy- this diet thing is finally starting to hit me. For the past 16 days I've been GREAT on my less than 1200 calorie a day diet... I mean, most days I'm even below 1000 calories! MOST days it isn't a problem, most days I can avoid temptation... not the past two days. Man, how is it that when people come over to your house or it gets really late at night (or double-whammy the combination of both) you cave. You cave big time. It is like inhibitions go out the window in social groups or when everyone else has gone to bed (extra people or lack of people it seems).

I went over on calories today... I feel guilty about it- but to be honest as I write this... I'm starving! The ice cream sandwich in the freezer is calling my name, and I've hit that point. Yarg- diets are no fun.

Now, normally I get very discouraged by now. A week down without losing any weight when I was doing so well last week- weekend comes and my strong will goes out the window. I'm trying very hard to not let that get me- however, tomorrow is a birthday party... and birthday parties have doritos and cake and pop and pizza and... temptation. Wish me all the luck you can, I am definitely going to need it.

In other news- today was a nice day! We took a family trip to the farmer's market, then a playground for munchkin, then a few errands before lunch outside enjoying the finally nice weather. After lunch we came home, took a small nap... Zak and Amory went on a run and I went to Lowes to get some more plants for my pots- yay! Planted those suckers (realizing I bought WAY too many... overcrowding commence!), and then cleaned up and made dinner. During dinner we decided to go to the movie "The Croods" and hustled to clean up and get there on time- it was adorable. Definitely a must watch/buy. In the end Amory literally danced up and down the aisle (thankfully it was a fairly empty theater). Adorable.

"Gross" worm!
I wasn't able to "run" today because my left calf is hurting oddly when I step- I'm hoping that it goes away tomorrow. Reports say it is supposed to rain through the night into tomorrow which I hope is inaccurate, I really want to get back out there and get over this plateau.
